Success Avoidance and Learned Helplessness Informational Guide

Common Characteristics - Conditioning

Conditioning Success Avoidance

A person develops a pattern of not completing things. It is a part of who the person is and he/she is not aware of sabatoging his/her own success.

Conditioning Learned Helplessness

Martin Seligman's experiment with dogs is directly reflected in the lives of people. If a person is conditioned to think there is no way out of a given situation then that person does not even try to get out. This is particularly true in the lives of those who are involved in the cycle of generational poverty.
